The directive was issued following public outcry over the restriction placed on the state funds.
President Tinubu described the timing of the action by the anti-graft agency as deeply embarrassing to his administration.
The state government had earlier raised concerns that the frozen accounts crippled administrative activities and public service delivery.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had initiated the account block as part of an ongoing financial investigation.
Osun State officials maintained that state resources were managed transparently and urged federal authorities to intervene promptly.
Following the presidential instruction, the anti-graft body is expected to notify the affected commercial banks to restore full access.
Residents and state workers in Osogbo expressed relief as the resolution will allow the payment of salaries and operational expenses.
