Corrections Policy
We correct errors quickly and in the open. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
How we correct
- Substantive corrections are labelled at the top of the article with the date and time of the update.
- Minor fixes (typos, formatting) are made silently.
- Retractions are only used when a story is fundamentally wrong and cannot be corrected.

Response time
We aim to acknowledge every correction request within one business day and to publish a decision within three.
