2027: Wike Fires Back at Kwara Governor, Says ‘PDP Will Contest in Your State’

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has accused Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of working with APC governors and other political actors against him ahead of the 2027 elections.

Wike made the allegation on Wednesday during his monthly live media chat in Port Harcourt.

He alleged that AbdulRazaq had told political associates that he was funding politicians who lost APC tickets in Kwara because of his relationship with former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

The minister also accused the governor of pushing serving federal lawmakers in the state aside despite their support for President Bola Tinubu.

Wike rejected claims that he had promised governors that the Peoples Democratic Party would not field candidates in their states in 2027.

He said Kwara would not be excluded, stressing that he had made his position clear to AbdulRazaq.

Wike further accused Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma of pursuing similar political moves in Rivers State.

He urged governors to remain politically strategic ahead of 2027, expressing confidence that President Tinubu would return to the Presidential Villa after the election.

The accusations come as political alignments and rivalry intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
