Tinubu’s ADC, Accused of Intimidation as NBA Chairman Alleges Threats to Life
An NBA Chairman has raised an alarm alleging intimidation and threats to life involving President Tinubu’s ADC.

NewsmongerPresident Bola Tinubu's Aide-de-Camp pictured in his official Nigerian Army military uniform.A legal practitioner and Chairman of a branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), N.D Abdulsalam, has raised the alarm over alleged threats to his life and intimidation following a formal complaint against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Lt. Col. Nurudeen Yusuf, who is also the Elemona of Ilemona.
Abdulsalam, in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, alleged that he had faced persistent harassment since submitting a protest letter accusing Yusuf of abuse of power, alleged land grabbing and misuse of government institutions.
He claimed that before the latest incident, unidentified individuals had made several suspicious telephone calls, allegedly attempting to lure him to undisclosed locations under the guise of arranging legal consultations.
The NBA branch chairman further disclosed that at approximately 11 a.m. on Tuesday, he received a telephone call from an individual who identified himself as an officer of the Kwara State Police Command.
According to him, the caller said a police team had arrived in Abuja and was operating from the Gwagwalada Police Division for investigative purposes, while insisting that he report to the station immediately.
Abdulsalam alleged that about 10 police officers had been mobilised from Kwara State to Abuja to facilitate his arrest, with the FCT Commissioner of Police reportedly contacted to provide assistance.
He said he declined to honour the verbal invitation, insisting that any legitimate request by the police for his appearance should be communicated through a formal invitation letter.
The lawyer maintained that he had neither absconded nor gone into hiding and remained available to respond to lawful investigative procedures.
Expressing concern over the alleged deployment, Abdulsalam questioned the use of police personnel and public resources across state boundaries to address what he described as a private dispute involving the President’s ADC.
He argued that such an operation was particularly troubling at a time when several communities across Kwara State were facing security challenges.
The NBA chairman also linked the development to previous incidents involving residents and youths allegedly caught up in land-related disputes.
Among the cases he cited was the continued detention of a community resident, identified as Mr Suwara Agindingbadi, whom he claimed was being held on fabricated charges.
He also referenced the alleged assault on some Offa youths, including Kamal Lawal and Taye Lateef, over a land dispute. Abdulsalam expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of the matter and the outcome of the judicial proceedings.
He further alleged that the victims were told in open court to seek reconciliation by appealing to the Elemona, a development he said raised serious concerns about access to justice.
Reaffirming his position, Abdulsalam said his professional responsibilities and position as an NBA branch chairman would not allow him to be intimidated into abandoning his demand for accountability.
He maintained that the alleged developments would not discourage him from speaking against what he considers an abuse of public authority.
“Power is transient,” he declared, insisting that he would remain committed to defending the rule of law and demanding justice.
