Popular Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo is reportedly battling stage 4 cancer, with his daughter, Haleemah, making an emotional public appeal for medical assistance to save her father’s life.

Haleemah shared a tearful video on Instagram, appealing to individuals, medical experts and organisations who may have the capacity to assist her father in accessing further treatment.

According to her, the family only became aware of the severity of the actor’s condition about three weeks ago. She said his condition has since deteriorated, with his stomach becoming swollen.

“I am asking for help for my daddy. He has cancer. It is stage 4, and it is really, really bad,” Haleemah said in the emotional appeal.

She explained that some hospitals had reportedly declined to continue chemotherapy, leaving the family desperately searching for other treatment options.

According to her, the family is not asking for financial donations, but rather for anyone with the medical expertise, connections or access to treatment that could give her father another chance to survive.

She also acknowledged the support already provided by a family member identified as Yayi, whom she said had been of great help to the family during the difficult period.

Haleemah said her father remains determined to live despite his condition.

“He has a strong will to live. His stomach is swollen. I have never seen my dad like this,” she said.

She added that the actor initially did not appear seriously ill, making the discovery of his condition particularly shocking to the family.

“If you see him, you can’t even know something is wrong. It’s just starting to show. We didn’t even know until like three weeks ago,” she said.

Appealing for any possible medical intervention, Haleemah said the family is willing to explore available treatment options in a bid to save the actor.

“Please, if you know something that can treat him, we are willing to try anything. My daddy doesn’t want to die,” she pleaded.

Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is a veteran Nigerian actor and filmmaker who has built a decades-long career, particularly in Yoruba-language Nollywood productions.

The family’s appeal has continued to draw attention from members of the public and colleagues within the Nigerian entertainment industry.
