Gospel Singer Toluwanisings’ Reported Death Sparks Confusion as Colleagues Call for Prayers
NewsmongerGospel singer Toluwanisings has sparked concern and calls for prayers among colleagues following unconfirmed reports regarding his condition.

Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has been reported dead, triggering emotional reactions and uncertainty among fans and colleagues in the gospel music industry.

The development gained attention on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, after Pelumi Olajengbesi, convener of the Coalition of Public Interests Lawyers and Advocates (COPA), shared a post on social media expressing grief over reports of the singer’s death.

In his message, Olajengbesi lamented the reported loss of another young Nigerian and called for divine intervention against untimely deaths.

However, the announcement generated mixed reactions, with some entertainment figures urging the public not to draw conclusions while prayers continued.

Gospel singer and comedian Woli Agba appealed to the public to remain hopeful, indicating that they were still praying for a miracle. Other colleagues also called for continued prayers amid the uncertainty.

Toluwanisings built a following through his gospel music, worship sessions and live ministrations. He was known for songs including Kabiyesi Olorun Ayo and Kos’Oluwa Laye, which earned him recognition among gospel music enthusiasts.

In July 2026, the singer and members of his team reportedly survived a road accident involving a heavy-duty trailer while returning from a gospel ministration. The incident was subsequently shared on social media as a testimony of their survival.

As of the time of filing this report, conflicting reactions were still emerging, and an official statement from the singer’s family confirming his condition had not been reported by the sources reviewed. The circumstances surrounding the reports also remained unclear.

Newsmonger will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as verified information becomes available.
