Netizens Urge AbdulRazaq to Extend Vehicle Donations Beyond Ilorin Emirate

The presentation of four official vehicles by Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to the Chief Imam of Ilorin and members of the Ilorin Emirate Council of Ulama has continued to generate mixed reactions across social media, with many residents calling for similar support to be extended to other parts of the state.

The governor recently donated a brand-new Toyota Prado SUV to the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Bashir Muhammad Solihu, alongside a bus for the Council of Ulama, an SUV for the Imam Gambari, and another vehicle for the Imam Imale.

While many residents commended the governor for recognising the religious leaders and supporting their work, others argued that similar gestures should also benefit traditional and religious institutions in other local government areas across Kwara State.

Several social media users expressed concern that the distribution appeared concentrated within the Ilorin Emirate, urging the state government to adopt a more inclusive approach in future interventions.

Many of the reactions called on Governor AbdulRazaq to consider extending such donations to religious leaders and traditional institutions in Kwara South and Kwara North, stressing that every part of the state deserves equal attention and recognition.

The debate has continued online, with contributors emphasising the need for fairness and balanced distribution of government support across the three senatorial districts.
