Kwara government confirms release of 176 abducted Kaiama community residents

‎Kwara state government has confirmed on Wednesday that all 176 residents abducted from Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State have regained their freedom.

The victims were taken during an attack on both farming communities on February 3, 2026. ‎ ‎

According to reports, the freed individuals were received by state security coordinators and emergency response officials. ‎
