The victims were taken during an attack on both farming communities on February 3, 2026.
According to reports, the freed individuals were received by state security coordinators and emergency response officials.
Specific details concerning whether ransoms were paid or military action was taken could not be independently confirmed.
The release brings relief to family members and residents of Kaiama Local Government Area, who have voiced constant concern over the safety of the hostages since early February.
Community representatives noted that the abductions severely hindered local farming and economic activities in both Woro and Nuku.
The return of the residents is expected to restore some calm to the affected farming hubs.
State officials stated that the former hostages are currently undergoing comprehensive medical evaluations and psychological support.
They will be formally reunited with their families following the completion of necessary health and security checks.
In response to the incident, security agencies have reportedly reinforced operations across Kwara North to secure vulnerable rural settlements.
Joint security teams comprising military officers, police personnel, and local vigilantes continue to monitor key transit corridors.
The Kwara State Government reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property across all sixteen local government areas in the state.
Officials urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements to law enforcement agencies promptly.
Authorities have not yet released the complete list of the freed victims or disclosed the exact location where they were handed over.
