Mashood Mustapha Appointed Kwara Ameerul Hajj for 2027 Pilgrimage

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Mashood Mustapha, Wakili of the Ilorin Emirate, as the leader of the state’s contingent for the 2027 Muslim pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

The appointment was contained in a statement issued on Thursday, September 17, 2026, by Mashood Abdulrafiu Agboola, Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

In his new role, Mustapha is expected to coordinate Kwara State’s 2027 Hajj operations in collaboration with relevant statutory bodies and government agencies at different levels.

Mustapha, popularly known as MM, is an entrepreneur, public servant and community leader.

He is the Chairman of Crystal Group of Companies and a former member of the Kwara State Executive Council.

He also represented his constituency in the House of Representatives between 2011 and 2015.

The newly appointed Ameerul Hajj is an alumnus of Kwara State Polytechnic, Lagos State University and Rome Business School, Italy.
