Kwara South APC Elders Applaud Tinubu Over Approval of Army Battalion in Omu-Aran

The Kwara South APC Elders Caucus has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the establishment of an Army Battalion in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, describing the decision as a major step towards strengthening security in the senatorial district.

The elders expressed their appreciation in a letter signed by the Chairman of the caucus, Chief J. B. Ayeni, and its Secretary, Professor Abiodun Afolayan.

The group said the approval demonstrated the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting lives and property, particularly in communities that have experienced attacks, kidnappings and other criminal activities.

According to the elders, the increased military presence in Omu-Aran is expected to strengthen security operations, restore public confidence and create a safer environment for farmers, businesses and other residents to return to their normal activities.

The caucus said the development had rekindled hope among the people of Kwara South, while assuring the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies of their cooperation and support.

The elders also expressed their support for President Tinubu’s aspiration to seek a second term in the 2027 presidential election, assuring him of their continued loyalty and support.

They prayed for wisdom, strength, good health and divine guidance for the President in his efforts to lead Nigeria towards greater peace, security and prosperity.
