Press Secretary Adewumi James Hails National President’s Leadership, Development Vision As He Marks Birthday
NewsmongerPress Secretary Adewumi James has commended the leadership vision of the Omo Ibile Igbomina National President on the occasion of his birthday.

Press Secretary to the National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Adewumi Adekunle James, has celebrated his principal, Sir Festus Olubisi Oladiran Akanbi Fakayode, on his birthday, praising his commitment to Igbomina unity, cultural preservation, institutional development and community advancement.

In a birthday message dated October 29, 2026, James described Sir Bisi Fakayode as a visionary leader and accomplished administrator whose public service experience and dedication to the welfare of his people continue to shape his leadership of the socio-cultural association.

According to the Press Secretary, the birthday celebration provides an opportunity to reflect on the National President’s contributions to public service, community development and efforts to unite Igbomina sons and daughters around a common vision for the progress of their homeland.

James said Fakayode’s leadership philosophy is rooted in collective responsibility, purposeful engagement and the sacrifices required to secure a prosperous future for Igbomina land.

A former Chairman of Irepodun Local Government and a community leader with experience in organised labour, Sir Bisi Fakayode has earned several traditional honours, including Balogun of Arandun, Aare of Oro Kingdom, Akinrogun of Isanlu-Isin and Atayese of Olla.

Since assuming office as National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina on January 10, 2026, Fakayode has, according to James, pursued a vision of repositioning the association as a more visible, effective and development-oriented platform for promoting unity among Igbomina people in Nigeria and the diaspora.

The administration’s priorities include strengthening the association’s institutions, preserving cultural heritage, deepening stakeholder engagement and mobilising collective action towards the development of Igbomina communities.

James also highlighted initiatives aimed at developing Igbomina House and the association’s National Secretariat, alongside proposed efforts in healthcare, economic revitalisation and digital visibility, describing them as important steps towards strengthening the organisation and expanding its impact on present and future generations.

Reflecting on his principal’s leadership, the Press Secretary said Fakayode’s emphasis on building bridges across communities and mobilising support for common goals demonstrates the importance of placing collective progress above personal interests.

He noted that his role in communicating the National President’s vision, programmes and activities had reinforced his belief that meaningful leadership should be measured by the institutions it builds, the people it inspires and the lasting impact it makes on society.

James further described Fakayode as the “Loogun Ofe of our time,” an expression of admiration for what he called the President’s dedication to his people, commitment to community advancement and determination to preserve Igbomina identity.

He prayed for God’s continued protection, sound health, wisdom, peace of mind and renewed strength for the National President, expressing optimism that his years ahead would bring further achievements for Omo Ibile Igbomina.

The Press Secretary also urged Igbomina sons and daughters, both at home and abroad, to embrace unity, sacrifice and shared responsibility, stressing that the association’s strength lies in the collective commitment of its members to building a stronger and more prosperous homeland.

He concluded by wishing Sir Bisi Fakayode a fulfilling birthday and many more years of purposeful service, while expressing hope that his leadership would leave a lasting legacy of unity, cultural pride and sustainable development.
