(OPINION) Hon. Kazeem Bukoye: A Loyal APC Stakeholder Who Deserves Good Appointment

The Offa Democratic Youths have called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Kwara State Government to give serious consideration to Hon. (Dr.) Engr. Kazeem Bukoye for a significant government appointment, in recognition of his years of unwavering loyalty, grassroots development efforts, and outstanding contributions to the growth of the party and the development of Kwara State.

In every political party, there are individuals whose commitment extends beyond election periods. They invest their time, resources, and personal energy in strengthening party structures, supporting members, and improving the welfare of ordinary citizens. Hon. (Dr.) Engr. Kazeem Bukoye is one of such individuals whose dedication to the APC and service to humanity have remained consistent over the years.

As a three-time aspirant for the Kwara State House of Assembly in 2019, 2023, and 2026, Hon. Bukoye has demonstrated remarkable political maturity, discipline, and loyalty to the APC. Despite the challenges that often accompany political contests, he has remained committed to the party, continued to mobilize support for APC candidates, and sustained his contributions to grassroots development across Offa Local Government.

Between 2020 and 2026, he organized annual empowerment programmes that provided financial assistance to APC members, widows, elderly citizens, youths, and other vulnerable groups. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he distributed food items and cash support to many struggling families, while also working through traditional institutions to ensure that humanitarian assistance reached those who needed it most.

His commitment to healthcare has also been commendable. He organized a medical outreach at the Offa Teaching Hospital, donated face masks, hand sanitizers, and other relief materials to the hospital management, and provided financial support to patients who could not afford medical treatment. These interventions were personally funded and reflected a genuine commitment to the well-being of the people.

Education remains one of his most significant areas of impact. Through his Back-to-School Initiative, he distributed textbooks, exercise books, and writing materials to pupils and students in 2021, 2023, and 2025. He also organized a Post-COVID-19 Essay Competition for secondary school students across Offa, rewarding outstanding participants and promoting academic excellence among young people.

Perhaps his most remarkable educational intervention is the award of fully funded scholarships to 40 pupils and students in a reputable private school in Offa. The scholarship programme covers tuition fees, uniforms, textbooks, exercise books, and other learning materials for five years at the primary level and six years at the secondary level. This initiative has transformed the lives of many children and relieved numerous families of significant educational expenses.

Beyond his humanitarian activities, Hon. Bukoye has remained a dependable APC stakeholder. He has consistently supported party programmes, financed political activities, empowered party members, strengthened grassroots structures, promoted unity among stakeholders, and refrained from anti-party activities. His loyalty to the APC has remained steadfast through both periods of success and disappointment.

His educational and professional credentials further reinforce his suitability for higher public responsibility. He holds a PhD in Management from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Malaysia, an MBA in Human Resource Management from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Malaysia, a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, a Senior Secondary School Certificate from Nigeria Military School, Zaria and other professional qualifications. His combination of technical expertise, administrative competence, and grassroots political experience makes him well qualified for strategic responsibilities in government.

As young people committed to the progress of Offa and Kwara State, we believe that public appointments should reflect loyalty, competence, integrity, and proven service to the people. Hon. (Dr.) Engr. Kazeem Bukoye has consistently demonstrated these qualities through his personal sacrifices, philanthropic interventions, and unwavering commitment to the APC.

We therefore respectfully appeal to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, and the leadership of the APC in Kwara State to reward loyalty and service by giving Hon. (Dr.) Engr. Kazeem Bukoye a good appointment where his experience, expertise, and commitment can be fully utilized for the development of Kwara State.

Our appeal is not based on sentiment, but on a verifiable record of service, capacity, and dedication. Kwara State needs competent, loyal, and development-oriented individuals in positions of responsibility, and Hon. (Dr.) Engr. Kazeem Bukoye has clearly shown that he possesses those qualities.

The Offa Democratic Youths stand firmly behind this call because we believe that a loyal APC stakeholder who has consistently invested in the people, supported the party, and contributed immensely to grassroots development deserves a good appointment.
